「から衣うつ音きけは月きよみ またねぬ人を空にしるかな　経信」
源経信は大納言経信の名で『小倉百人一首』でも紹介された平安時代後期に活躍した歌人。表題に書かれている句は『絵本和比事』の一節。経信が京都八條の屋敷で月を眺めていると、李白の漢詩を吟じる声が聞こえてきた。気になり外を見てみると、巨大な鬼のような者がいたという場面。鬼の片足だけを描くことでその巨大さが強調されている。
